Application Guidelines
For best results, follow these application guidelines:
- Container Grown Plants:
- Partially fill the container with potting soil from the bag.
- Place the root ball of the plant in the center of the container.
- Add enough remaining soil to bring the level to within 1/2″ of the rim.
- Gently press soil around the stem of the plant.
- Water thoroughly.
- Slips or Bare Rooted Cuttings:
- Use the same procedure as above in containers of 2″ – 2 1/2″.
- Repotting:
- When plants become root-bound, repot them in larger containers for continued growth.
- Remove the plant from its current container by turning it upside down and tapping gently on the bottom to loosen soil and root mass.
- Place the plant in a new container and follow directions for container-grown plants.
- Water thoroughly.
- Fertilization:
- Do not apply fertilizer within the first thirty days, or until plants are rooted and established.
